Holy Angel in Biscuit | Old | Stamped M&F - R

This very good quality holy water font is in a very good condition.

It was made in porcelain biscuit, that is to say that the porcelain was cooked without glaze which would have given it a shiny appearance.

It is a well-known and widely used manufacturing technique.

This holy water font represents an angel carrying a giant Tridacne shell "holy water font" which can thus welcome holy water.

Note that only the shell has a glaze inside.

The colors are pastel to represent the sweetness of the angel.

Presence of stamps on the wings: M & F on one side and R on the other.

Also features two other stamps below (see photos).

This holy water font has two holes at the back allowing it to thread a small ribbon and hang it on the wall.

Please note: a small manufacturing defect in the dough below.
